Thermoformers Round Two

by Noah Lovejoy

Graphic Design isn’t an isolated field, 90% of the time you’ll be collaborating with other fields of Design. For example, this project was to develop a new plastic shell for an RC car as part of a competition hosted by the Society of Plastics Engineers Thermoforming Division. Our project is a collaboration between the Graphic/Information Design Program, and Engineering Department. The Central Team had already won last year's competition, so our goal is to not only surpass our college's entry from last year, but also improve upon it in both complexity of shape and design.

The team consisted of two Senior Central Design students, Noah Lovejoy '24 and Delia Scheleker ‘24 and two Juniors Melos Beluli and Matthew Marenco. The Engineering students, under the direction of Dr. Ned Moore, are Amy Briggs, Thomas Aglieco, Anissa Simpson, Kseniya Nosenko, and Vanessa Krasnicki.
